When you're done, handle your shoes with leather conditioner to prevent drying them up and cause leather to crack. If your shoes slide off and are produced from thin leather, sewing an elastic band within the shoes might work. When you yourself have some experience with sewing, this trick is handy. An elastic band may constrict the shoes, making them narrower and harder to slip off.
